Muslim Entrepreneurs Space started with a simple frustration. Finding a Muslim-owned business usually means asking around: a WhatsApp group, a notice at the mosque, a friend of a friend. The businesses are there, in every high street and on every platform, but there was no calm, trustworthy place to look them up.
So we are building one. A directory you can search by what a business does, what it sells and where it is, and alongside it a collection of stories about the founders: how they started, what went wrong, what they would tell someone starting now.
Discover
Search by name, service, product or place. Filters for halal-certified, women-led, online and more.
Read
Founder stories, interviews and lessons, written with the people they are about.
Trust
Every new listing is checked by a person before it goes live.
How listings work
Any owner can list their business for free. A member of our small moderation team reviews each new listing, usually within two working days, to check that it is a real business, that the category is right and that it fits our listing guidelines.
We also add some well-known businesses ourselves so the directory is useful from day one. Those pages say they haven’t been claimed yet, and the owner can claim them by confirming an email address at the business’s domain, adding a short code to their website, or sending us a document.
What the badges mean
Muslim-owned means the owner told us the business is Muslim-owned. We take people at their word. We never ask anyone to prove their faith, and our team does not judge how religious anyone is.
Verified (the brass eight-pointed star) means our team confirmed the business exists and that the person managing the listing really runs it, for example with a phone call or a company registration check. It lasts two years and then needs renewing.
Halal certified shows the certifying body the owner named. We don’t certify anything ourselves; where a certifier has a public lookup, we link to it so you can check.
No paid placement
Search results are ordered by how well a business matches what you asked for, how close it is, and how complete its listing is. Nobody can pay to rank higher. If we ever offer paid features, they will be clearly labelled and kept apart from search results.
Privacy first, by default
Being on a platform like this says something about you, and religious belief is sensitive personal information. So personal profiles are visible only to signed-in members until you choose to make yours public, home-based businesses show their town rather than a street address, and we don’t use advertising trackers. The details are in our privacy policy.
